My name is Carla Irene and this is my blog! This blog is about my time spent as an intern in Haines, Alaska with the American Bald Eagle Foundation. I will be there from May 7th til August 11th and I will try my best to update every day.
I am currently an undergraduate student at Auburn University (War Eagle!) studying Wildlife Science/Pre-Vet, but I'm originally from Jacksonville, FL. I will be one of 4 interns in Haines this summer and our job will be to care for one of the birds from their raptor center and do programs for the different tour groups that come to the Foundation. Since we won't be doing programs all of the time, there will be plenty of free time to do things such as go hiking, fishing and just explore the town.
I'm so excited to spend my summer up in the Alaskan wilderness and I hope you enjoy reading about my many adventures!
